Camp Description
Come join the RVHS Competitive Cheerleading Program for an exciting week designed to introduce youth between the ages of 5-13 to the joy of cheerleading! The Youth Cheerleading Camp is hosted by the Head Cheerleading Coach, Michelle Painter, the RVHS Cheer Coaching Staff, and 60 high school cheerleaders who are committed to teaching the fundamentals of cheerleading.
Our camp will expose participants to the basics of dance, cheers, chants, motion drills, jumps, and basic stunting. In addition to learning the techniques of cheerleading, we also incorporate fun activities and daily competitions for everyone! All participants will be placed in groups according to age, to ensure that all material is age-appropriate. On Friday, June 20th at 11:00 a.m., we will host a Pep Rally for parents, family members, and friends to come out and support the Youth Cheerleader’s as they perform their cheerleading routines! It will amaze you at how much these future cheerleader’s learn in one week!
Please be sure to check out the afternoon session that has been added this year! We have had a lot of parents and cheerleader’s who have requested an all-day camp. Spaces are limited for Session 2, so please be sure to sign up early!
Session 1: The Youth Cheerleading Camp (YCC), June 16th-20th from 9:00-12noon
Cost: $60 / This camp includes a t-shirt and daily snacks for all participants. The YCC introduces the youth to the basics of cheerleading. All participants will learn a routine full of cheers, chants, dances, and few other surprises that will make you jump out of your seat!
Session 2: Summer Fun and Cheerleading, June 16th - 20th from 12noon-5:00 p.m.
Cost: $50 / Participants must bring their own lunch/Daily snacks will be provided. A break will be given between Session 1 & 2 for campers to have some down time with lunch & a movie. This camp focuses more on the “hands-on” side of cheerleading. Participants will help plan, make signs, and spirit items to decorate the gym for the pep rally on June 20th; includes activities around sportsmanship & positive self-esteem, daily outdoor contest/prizes, cheerleading arts & crafts, and many more activities that will enhance individual skills in an afternoon of fun!
Sessions 1 & 2 will be offered at a discounted rate of $100.00 for the week
