RVHS Junior, Hughston Armstrong, has been selected to play on the National Under Armor Baseball Team. Hughston will play in the National Under Armor Recruiting Classic December 27th-30th in Tucson, AZ.

RVHS faculty and students raised a total of $5,500 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The fundraising events culminated with a faculty/student basketball game and with male faculty members strutting their stuff in the Miss Understood Pageant.

Four RVHS faculty members agreed to be "arrested" by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) in order to raise money for the organization. Dr. Marty Martin, Ms. Beth Lyle, Ms. Lisa Ellis, and Mrs. Carolyn Anderson-Flite raised $690! The four of them were issued MDA warrants and taken to "jail" at O'Charley's Restaurant where they had to stay until they were able to raise "bail" money. All proceeds go directly to MDA to help find a cure for Muscular Dystrophy.

Congratulations to the RVHS community! RVHS' faculty and staff have achieved the highest attendance record among students during the 2007-2008 school year! Dr. Hefner acknowledged this accomplishment with a Superintendent’s Award Breakfast on Tuesday, October, 7, 2008 at 7:30 a.m.
